The concern for environmental problems calls for the reduction of noise pollution that, for high traffic roads, expressways and railroads in proximity to residential areas and urban centers, involves the construction of sound deadening barriers.


With TENAX TT geogrids, it’s possible to resolve the problem in an attractive and environmentally friendly manner by the construction of green-faced Reinforced Soil embankments along the roadside with a trapezoidal cross section.

Such structures, of limited size and having sub-vertical walls as well, can be constructed on a very restricted supporting surface and are therefore ideal under conditions of limited available space.

The construction method’s simplicity allows the creation of works utilizing moderately sized equipment (inevitably, given the restricted size on the top of the sound absorbing barriers) and also guarantees a very rapid rate of construction without the need for specialized labor.
