ELIX PRO

Fences are the most important structures for outdoor snail farming, and they are necessary for a correct and inexpensive production. Indeed, they have to prevent snails from escaping, impede that predators enter the farming area, divide the different stages in the snail life-cycle (birth and fattening phase) and facilitate a correct breathing of molluscs.

Tenax ELIX PRO, a black monofilament woven net made from 100% HDPE polyethylene, prevents snails from climbing and escaping, and protects them from bird predation thanks to its two flounces.
A special process of UV stabilization of the polymers reduces the damage caused by sun rays ensuring a long lifespan and proper ventilation.

If a plant is correctly installed using the Tenax ELIX PRO net for snails, a farmer can work less, and that results in labour savings.

Note: two horizontal 14 cm wide flounces are sewn to the net, one at 60 cm and the other at 90 cm from the ground. The total height of the net includes the two flounces.

La malla para caracoles Tenax ELIX PRO está sostenida con hilo metálico o cuerda que se puede introducir en el pliegue situado en la parte superior de la malla. Utilizar postes ligeros de madera o de PVC, excluyendo los de hierro o cemento, ya que estos materiales transmiten el calor a los moluscos.

Un sistema instalado correctamente con la malla para caracoles Tenax ELIX PRO, necesitará una presencia menor del helicicultor con el correspondiente ahorro de la mano de obra.
