An international group and a solid manufacturing company

Founded in Italy in 1960, Tenax began as a company specializing in the extrusion of thermoplastic polymers. Today, we operate successfully in five strategic sectors:
Gardening and DIY – Agriculture – Construction – Civil and Environmental Engineering – Industry.

The evolution of the markets and the ability to anticipate their needs have led Tenax to expand its structure, creating numerous production and commercial units.

The headquarters are located in Viganò (LC) and house the management offices and six production plants. To support its global operations, Tenax also has production facilities in the United States (Baltimore, MD, and Evergreen, AL) and offices in Germany (Lindau), as well as branches strategically located around the world.

Today, the group has over 160,000 m² of facilities, including 85,000 m² dedicated to offices, production, and warehouses. This widespread presence allows us to operate on every continent as a true global supplier.

Tenax OLINET
Tenax OLINET

In the same years that Prof. Giulio Natta discovered isotactic polypropylene, known as Moplen, Tenax began to experiment with its potential. This encounter led to the creation of OLINET, the first extruded net for olive harvesting. A combination of science and Italian innovation that, since the 1960s, has marked the beginning of Tenax's history and paved the way for new applications in agriculture, construction, and engineering.

GIGAN Net
The orange net is a TENAX invention.

Perhaps not everyone knows that the orange netting, that splash of color that accompanies us throughout the cities and towns of our peninsula, is a Tenax invention.
This icon, symbol of a country that works, evolves, and builds, was born in the early 1980s from a brilliant intuition of this Italian company based in Brianza.
Initially, the product was a sort of warning tape, therefore much shorter in height; later, it was produced in heights of one meter and above, allowing construction sites to be fenced off as well as signaling that work was in progress.

Tenax QUADRA
TENAX QUADRA, the original

Rete Quadra owes its incredible success to the originality of its invention and the multitude of its advantages.

Over the decades, TENAX QUADRA has become a DIY icon thanks to its many applications on balconies and terraces, on fences and gates, on farmhouse windows, around tree trunks, on manholes and basement windows, or used as a small fence or border.

Tenax TT
TENAX TT: 30 years of soil reinforcement history

Tenax TT geogrids are iconic in the history of geosynthetics: they were the first geogrids used in Italy and for years were the benchmark geogrids for soil reinforcement.

Their structure is obtained through a process of extrusion and unidirectional stretching, which gives the product strength and durability.

Used all over the world in numerous applications, it is synonymous with reliability and safety.
