FVP Presown Vegetative Felt is a biodegradable fabric for erosion protection and grassing of surfaces subject to runoff and surface erosion; it is made from a weave of natural, biodegradable cellulose fibers containing grass seeds and fertilizers.
FVP Preseeded Vegetative Felt is used on slopes, canal banks, and in all cases where greening is prevented by erosion caused by atmospheric precipitation. It is made from natural materials that degrade naturally and do not contaminate the environment with chemicals.
Inside the felt, the seeds are protected, germinate spontaneously, and when fully developed, the biodegradable fabric dissolves naturally into the soil.
Tenax FVP is supplied in lightweight reels that can be handled manually. Installation is quick and the product adapts to the terrain, following its contours.
It can be used in combination with a geomat for erosion control: to speed up installation and maximize effectiveness, Tenax has developed the Multimat P pre-seeded geomat, consisting of the three-dimensional Multimat geomat industrially laminated to FVP pre-seeded felt.
