Reinforcement and containment

Our plastic mesh solutions for reinforcement and technical support are designed to improve the structural strength, dimensional stability, and overall performance of composite and industrial systems. They are ideal for applications that require not only mechanical reinforcement, but also containment, stabilization, and secure positioning of materials.
Using a specialized orientation process, we produce lightweight yet high-strength square and flat meshes optimized for use where high tensile performance is essential.

Typical applications include:

  • Reinforcement of composite laminates and panel inserts
  • Fastening of inner layers in multilayer materials or packaging
  • Stabilization or restraint of goods during transport
  • Containment and support of loose or deformable materials in technical assemblies.

Erosion Control

TENAX bi-oriented (or bi-stretched) polypropylene geogrids offer excellent lightness and mechanical strength, making them perfect for use in erosion control mattresses.

Combined with plant fibers or wood processing waste, they are lightweight and easily transportable reinforcements for embankments and slopes.

Two-way oriented fabrics are produced with weights, meshes, and thicknesses suitable for every application.

Insulation containment

The flexibility of the TENAX production process allows for the creation of lightweight polypropylene nets with high maximum tensile strength and tear resistance.

One of the most important fields of application for these items is construction.
They act as containment, support, and reinforcement for waterproofing and insulating materials, are non-corrosive, and do not oxidize.

Nets for palletizers

The high resistance and wide opening of extruded nets for pallet wrapping offer a number of advantages over more traditional systems (woven nets or macro-perforated film).
They can be used in two ways:
• vertically, with the use of automatic palletizers;
• horizontally to stabilize irregular or heavy loads by consolidating the lower layers on pallets (so-called "serpentine" use).

Extruded nets are particularly suitable for materials that require high air circulation to prevent condensation or mold (flour, baked goods, potatoes, chestnuts) or light (flowers and plants).

Railway car cover

TENAX bi-oriented polypropylene nets are a safe and economical solution for transporting scrap metal and are offered as innovative and alternative products for the temporary covering of high-sided rail cars.
Their ease of installation makes these items particularly suitable for covering and containing scrap metal on rail cars or in containers.
They can be fastened at any point thanks to the high mechanical strength of the mesh.
The net is available in rolls or in custom-made packages.

Fencing and livestock farming

Tenax fencing and livestock nets are a reliable and versatile solution for protecting and managing agricultural and livestock areas.
Made from high-quality plastic, they combine lightness, strength, and durability, offering a practical and long-lasting alternative to traditional metal nets.
The most resistant versions provide excellent protection against deer and other wild animals without harming wildlife.
The lighter versions are ideal for building aviaries, chicken coops, cages, and enclosures for chickens, turkeys, geese, and guinea fowl.
Thanks to their versatility, Tenax nets are also ideal for agricultural fencing and sheep and pig farms, ensuring strength, safety, and reliability over time.

Composite materials

TENAX meshes are used as reinforcement structures in the production of industrial fabrics, mixed laminate composites, plastics, and/or paper.

Unlike woven structures, bi-oriented extruded nets have the clear advantage of being unravel-proof and maintaining regular dimensional stability throughout the entire unwinding process. Due to their physical and mechanical properties, they are the ideal solution for coupling with fabrics, films, or paper.

The molecular orientation process of polypropylene gives TENAX bioriented nets uniformity even at dimensions exceeding 4 meters in height, benefiting customer productivity.
