GEOGRIDS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Geogrids are manufactured with polymeric materials and are mainly used for the reinforcement; thanks to their structure the soil particles fit in the openings of the geogrid with an improvement of the tensile strength. There are three types of geogrids: extruded, woven and bonded. Geogrids are used for retaining structures (reinforced steep slopes<\/strong><\/a>, retaining block walls<\/strong><\/a>, panel walls<\/strong><\/a>) or roads<\/strong>, railways<\/strong><\/a>, large areas and parkings<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

GEOCELLS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Geocells are honeycomb shaped structures manufactured for extrusion or assembling of strips of synthetics materials.
\nThe main application is the soil confinement and are usually used for the erosion control. After the installation are filled with soil that, being confined inside the cell, cannot slide. It is very important that geocell have an aperture between the junctions so to allow hydraulic connection of the cells. Geocells are used for the erosion control in

GEOMEMBRANE<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Le geomembrane sono materiali impemeabili, disponibili in forma di manufatti laminari, che possono essere sintetici, bituminosi o bentonitici (propriamente detti geocompositi bentonitici).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

GEOMEMBRANE SINTETICHE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le geomembrane sintetiche possono essere omogenee o rinforzate, a seconda che esista o meno un elemento di rinforzo (sintetico o metallico) all\u2019interno dello spessore. Le geomembrane sintetiche possono inoltre essere di tipo plastomerico od elastomerico.<\/p>\n

Le geomembrane plastomeriche<\/span> sono fogli con spessore compreso tra 0.5 e 2.5 mm, fabbricati con diversi metodi produttivi (calandratura, estrusione e spalmatura) e caratterizzati da coefficienti di permeabilit\u00e0 molto ridotti.
\nCalandratura<\/span>: La miscela costituita dal polimero termoplastico (LDPE, HDPE, PVC, PP) e da una serie di additivi vari con specifiche funzioni, viene fusa e ridotta allo spessore voluto con l’azione di rulli riscaldati, in modo da ottenere un foglio piano, di larghezza variabile da 1 a 2 metri.
\nEstrusione<\/span>: La miscela costituita dal polimero termoplastico (LDPE, HDPE, PVC, PP) e da una serie di additivi vari con specifiche funzioni, viene fusa e spinta in pressione attraverso una testa di estrusione circolare; il foglio tubolare cos\u00ec lavorato viene mantenuto gonfio da una pressione d’aria, raffreddato, tagliato e aperto, in modo da ottenere un foglio piano, di larghezza variabile da 2 a 6 metri.
\nSpalmatura<\/span> (processo di lavorazione tipico del PVC): la miscela, costituita dal PVC (allo stato di plastisol) e da una serie di additivi vari (principalmente plastificanti), viene spalmata a freddo e successivamente portata a fusione, in modo da ottenere un foglio piano di larghezza variabile da 1 a 2 metri.<\/p>\n

Le geomembrane elastomeriche<\/span> sono fogli con spessore compreso tra 0.5 e 2.0 mm, caratterizzati da coefficienti di permeabilit\u00e0 molto ridotti e fabbricati mediante una lavorazione che si sviluppa in due fasi:<\/p>\n

una prima fase, in cui si produce un impasto omogeneo, costituito dal polimero non vulcanizzato (gomma cruda) e da una serie di additivi vari con specifiche funzioni;
\nuna seconda fase (calandratura), durante la quale la mescola omogenea cos\u00ec ottenuta viene lavorata con l’azione di rulli riscaldati, ridotta allo spessore voluto e vulcanizzata, in modo da ottenere un foglio piano, di larghezza variabile da 1 a 2 metri.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

GEOMEMBRANE BITUMINOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le geomembrane bituminose sono fogli con spessore compreso tra 3.0 e 6.0 mm e larghezza variabile da 1.0 a 1.5 m, fabbricati mediante la lavorazione di una mescola fusa (costituita da bitumi, polimeri plastomerici e\/o elastomerici e cariche minerali) e caratterizzati da coefficienti di permeabilit\u00e0 molto ridotti.
\nIn fase di produzione, generalmente si parte da un supporto (nontessuto o tessuto, in poliestere o fibra di vetro) che, nel corso di un processo continuo, viene impregnato nella mescola fusa, successivamente raffreddato ed accoppiato a fogli antiaderenti, prima dell’avvolgimento.
\nIn Italia la produzione di membrane bituminose (in rotoli di altezza pari ad 1 metro) \u00e8 concepita quasi esclusivamente per l’impiego come impermeabilizzazione di coperture di fabbricati civili ed industriali.
\nSi segnala che in altri paesi europei (segnatamente Francia ed Olanda),vengono anche prodotte geomembrane bituminose speciali multistrato, con larghezze di 4\u00f75 metri, specificatamente concepite per impieghi nell’impermeabilizzazione di opere di Ingegneria Geotecnica e Idraulica (in particolare canali, dighe e bacini).<\/p>\n
