Tenax ECOMAT biomats are mats made from straw and coconut fibres which provide an excellent erosion protection on not-excessively inclined slopes where there is a suitable underlying vegetative base that enables their revegetation.
Since the biomat naturally decomposes during a biological cycle, the decomposed fibres, essentially made of cellulose and ligneous material, will act as an organic fertilizer. Furthermore, the coconut fibres support humidity retention increasing the permeability of soil, whereas the straw fibres retain the soil particles improving the roughness of the underlying base and hence reducing the run-off velocity of the water.
Erosion control in slight slopes
Soil retaining element on the reinforced turf face
Composition: 50% straw, 20% coconut, 30% jute
Easy and quick to install
Made up of plant fibres, it does not modify the soil characteristics
It supports slope revegetation through a considerable organic supply

Prepare the slope base making it as even as possible
Cut the rolls to size and lay them on the soil so that they fit flush with the surface
