Another aspect that makes the TENAX group unique is the collaborative dialogue that takes place between professional people from different disciplines. Civil engineers, agronomy and chemistry experts from all over the world and with different cultures and working experiences work together on projects sharing their particular knowledge in team based work programmes. This results in a wide input of ideas and expertise into the design of new products.

Continuous cooperation with companies to create new developments
Investment in research and in prestigious international collaborations has led TENAX to build up and create a broad and diversified fund of knowledge. Working in close contact with its partners and clients, TENAX experiments, develops and then promotes highly innovative solutions.

TENAX research is pusher to its furthest limits
Discovering new fields for experimentation is a TENAX mission. TENAX’s research on new applications of geogrids and geocomposites is developed to the highest technical levels so that TENAX occupies a pre-eminent position. This research covers a number of scientific and technical fields. Environmental compatibility has more recently been seriously considered: TENAX has designed sophisticated environmental engineering systems for erosion control and for the creation of grassed or planted retaining structures.

TENAX products are used in the Sydney 2000 construction work or for works such as grassed retaining walls 35 metres high, thus demonstrating their innovative properties. For example, TENAX has collaborated with Trento University to design an innovative falling rock protection system that is able to absorb an energy of 3000 kJ. Equally important is the project with Maine State Department of Transportation to design a road base particularly effective for improving drainage and/or reducing frost heave.
